Rupert Davis
Board Member (Executive Chair)
Rupert is a climate leadership and impact investment entrepreneur focused on ecological finance and social justice.
His company Sustainable Means helps institutional investors, starts-up and large corporations move their money and their operations away from the destructive fossil fuel economy into solutions serving the one-planet economy and a hopeful future.
Rupert was an ecological activist as a teenager, first came to the community in 1991 while at university, and had a close connection to Eileen Caddy, one of the founders. He studied Theology, Philosophy and Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where he boxed for the university (British silver medallist). As a senior scholar at Girton, he won the University Bronowski prize for the top first in his year, and as post-graduate went on to CIIS in San Francisco as a Fulbright Scholar, studying East/West Psychology.
His original professional training (finance) was at JP Morgan and at Regent’s College (psychotherapy). He believes science and religion are not opposed and by deepening our connection to source/all our relations we help create a better world.
