Fair Processing Notice

Ecovillage Findhorn Community Benefit Society takes your privacy seriously.  We never pass your membership data on to anyone outside the Society.

If you have any concerns, you have a right to:

  • Request that we correct your personal data if you believe it is inaccurate / incomplete

  • Request that we delete your personal data 

  • Change your communication preferences or restrict processing of your personal data

  • Access the personal data that we hold about you through a “subject access request”.

Under data protection legislation we are a “controller” of personal data you share with us. This notice explains how and why we process your data and for how long we will keep your personal data, and where it is held.

 

Membership data the Society holds

Name, address, age (over 16), email address and/or telephone numbers, shareholding status. 

 

Storage

This information is stored on the Society’s membership database and is only accessed by designated members of our team.

 

What we do with your data

We use your data to provide membership services, announcing members meetings, e-newsletters, communications on collaborations, events, proposals and decisions.

 

Legal basis for processing data

Legitimate interest – as you have signed up. By consenting on the online or paper application form, a member agrees to have their personal data as noted above held by the Society.

 

Retention

We keep your personal data only to provide you with services. We update or delete your data on request or on termination of membership.
