Joan Wilmot

I have a strong alignment with the EF CBS and the community’s goals. I have been a member of the community since 1993 when my family and I arrived here. Prior to that I was running a therapeutic community in London. This gave me much understanding of systemic and community dynamics. The

characters in each community or organisation are their own unique selves and at the same the dynamics are universal. Also what we find difficult in other people is there in them but

also is what we find difficult ins ourselves. I love the cosmic humour of our wonderful human selves with our magnificence, blindness and taking ourselves so seriously that we can lose sight of what really is there and needs attention.

I have skills in global communications and outreach, I have had a long active and still active work life and family life and I have good community facilitation skills, and communication and listening skills which I am regularly teaching and practising. I have been in education all my adult work life and I have HR skills.
